The first option becomes available when you start the quest ‘The Helm of Urktott,’ which leads to a troll fight. However, you don’t have to wait for that; there are three other options available.

To head straight to the troll lair locations and get your troll bogeys immediately, follow these steps: The first troll lair is at the northern end of the Forbidden Forest. Open your map and look for an icon shaped like a cave. Press “A” to set a waypoint, then fast-travel to the nearest floo flame.

Next, hop on your broom and follow the path indicated on the map until you reach the troll lair. Once there, engage and defeat the troll. After defeating the troll, you’ll find troll bogeys in Hogwarts Legacy. For the other troll lair, open your map and locate the Feldcroft region.

Look for the icon shaped like a cave again, set a waypoint there, and you’ll find the troll lair near a river. Fast-travel to the nearest spot, hop on your hippogriff, and fly over. As soon as you arrive at the troll lair, your fight will begin. Defeat the troll, and you’ll find more troll bogeys for you to collect.

The final and easiest option to acquire troll bogeys is to buy them for 100 bucks each. Open your map, head to Hogsmead, and visit J Pippins Potions shop.” Then, go to the ingredients section, and on the third row you will find troll bogeys in hogwarts legacy to buy.
