How to Use Petrificus Totalus in Hogwarts Legacy on Nintendo Switch – Easy Guide

Gaming Guides Hogwarts Legacy

Wazzup everyone, welcome back to another guide on how to use Petrificus Totalus in Hogwarts Legacy on Nintendo Switch. This also works on PC, Playstation and Xbox.

There are 2 ways to use Petrificus Totalus, and today we will focus on the first method that you will need for the percival’s trial quest.

To use Petrificus Totalus, all you have to do is to cast the disillusionment spell and sneak up on enemies. and when you get close enough, a prompt will show up to allow you to use Petrificus Totalus by pressing the “Y” button on your nintendo switch controller. Using this spell will then paralyze the enemy, defeating them instantly without bloodshed.

This is the most common method of using Petrificus Totalus. The other option, which I haven’t recored the video yet, is to use the Imperio curse. This spell enables you to control most enemies in the game. By using Imperio on an enemy and defeating all other enemies in combat, you can have a mind-controlled enemy left on the battlefield.

Before the control wears off, you will need to approach the controlled enemy, pretty much like the first option, then you will be able to cast Petrificus Totalus on them, essentially performing a stealth finisher move.
