Starfield – How to Get the Mark I Spacesuit Early in The Game – No Lockpicking Needed For Now!

In the expansive universe of Starfield, obtaining the Mark 1 space helmet, pack, and spacesuit early in your journey can significantly enhance your character’s defense and survivability. This armor set, while highly desirable, is initially locked behind a challenging Master Lock. However, thanks to a clever discovery , there exists a secret method to access this coveted gear from the very beginning of your adventure, although it’s worth noting that game developers may patch this method in the future.
Upon your arrival at New Atlantis, you become a member of the constellation and are entrusted with the keys to The Lodge. With these keys in hand, you gain access to the basement area of The Lodge, where the Mark 1 armor is securely stored. To reach this treasure trove, start from The Lodge’s entrance, turn right, and descend the stairs. Navigate through a room filled with crafting tables, make another right turn, and you’ll discover a room featuring a couch concealed beneath a sheet. Inside this room, positioned on your left, stands a mannequin adorned with the Mark 1 armor. However, this treasure is locked behind a formidable Master Level lockpick.
Unlocking this armor becomes an intriguing challenge if your lockpicking skill hasn’t reached the Master Level yet. Instead of attempting to pick the lock conventionally, an alternative method presents itself. By carefully positioning your reticle at a seemingly minuscule crack in the glass case enclosing the armor, you can eventually manipulate the targeting reticle to shift from the case to the mannequin. Once this transition occurs, you can then interact with the mannequin, either by pressing ‘A’ on your controller or ‘E’ on your keyboard. This action grants you access to the complete Mark 1 armor set, bypassing the lockpicking requirement.
While the Mark 1 armor set proves invaluable due to its significant reductions in physical, energy, and electromagnetic damage, especially during early-game challenges, it lacks additional buffs and enhancements, as it is classified as common quality. However, its aesthetic appeal remains undeniable. For those who find themselves with no immediate use for these pieces, they can be sold to vendors for a decent price.
