Wazzup Everyone, Welcome back to another Starfield guide. We’ve had some viewers asking about how to set their favorite weapons and items for quick access. Well, today, as I’m chilling at the Lodge, I thought I’d whip up this quick guide to help you all out!

So, let’s dive right into how to assign hotkeys to your favorite gear for that seamless gaming experience. To kick things off, you need to get to your hotkeys. to do that, Just press the ‘Q’ key, and A nifty menu will pop up, displaying your hotkey slots.

Now, let’s get to the fun part. To assign a weapon or item, open your inventory by hitting ‘I’ on your PC. Alternatively, you can press the ‘Tab’ key and then click on your inventory right here.

In your inventory, navigate to the weapons section. Here, you’ll find all your trusty weaponry. Pick the weapon you want to assign to a hotkey. Once you’ve got it selected, you’ve got a couple of options. You can either click on the “favorite” button or hit ‘B’ on your keyboard. Either way, all your hotkey slots will appear on the screen.

This is where the magic happens. Simply click on the slot where you want to assign your weapon. I’m gonna go ahead and set my favorites from slot 1 all the way to 6.

It’s not just weapons that can be assigned in Starfield. you can assign most things as favorites. Let’s say you want to assign an item from the aid tab. The process here is pretty much the same. Choose the item you want, press ‘B’ on your keyboard or click the “favorite” button, and then select your desired slot.

Now that you’ve set up your hotkeys, switching between weapons and items will be a breeze in starfield. Just hit the hotkey you assigned, and you’re good to go. You can also Press ‘Q’ on your keyboard, and then select the slot you want. It’s that simple.
