In this starfield guide, we’ll cover how to repair your ship, a crucial skill for interstellar adventures. To do this, you’ll need Starfield ship parts, usually found in General Stores.

First, locate a General Store where you can purchase ship parts. This works basically for any general stores, like the UC center for example, but for this guide we’ll head to Akila. If you’re unfamiliar with Akila, it’s situated in Cheyenne, which is a bit further out from where you might start, such as Alpha Centauri. You’ll likely explore this region as you progress through missions leading to Akila City.

Once in Akila City, head into the General Store. Inside, you’ll find a shopkeeper who sells various items, including ship parts. Look for these items listed under “Aid.”

Inspect the ship parts available, but keep in mind they can be quite pricey. Ensure you have enough credits to make your purchase.

It’s a good practice to keep these ship parts on your vessel because when your ship’s health drops below half during combat, you can use these ship parts to initiate repairs while in combat. Simply press the right thumbstick (or the equivalent command on your platform) while flying your ship. You should see the repair command prompt in the bottom right-hand corner of your screen.

Alternatively, while docked, you can pay a technician 1,000 credits to repair your ship to full health. This option is available when your ship is grounded.

By following these steps, you’ll be well-prepared to keep your ship in top shape while exploring the vastness of Starfield.
